This PML pan fits cars and trucks with the GM TH350 (Turbo-Hydramatic 350) transmission. The transmission was first available in 1969 after joint development by Buick and Chevrolet. The TH350 transmission is found in GM (Chevy, Cadillac, Olds, Buick) vehicles as well as retrofitted Jeeps and other cars and trucks. For example, this transmission was originally on 1967 to 1972 El Caminos, Blazers, and C/K 20 trucks and Suburbans.

The pan has bosses that can be machined for aftermarket sensors and gages.

The TH350 transmission is called Turbo 350 in the racing field and is formally called THM350 for Turbo-Hydra-matic 350. It first appeared in cars in 1969 and continued in production in the 1980s.

Check for drive shaft clearance: On some vehicles, especially those with 4WD, the drive shaft is close to the side of the stock pan. The PML pan is larger and the drain plug head, sticks out 0.3" from the side. If there is a clearance issue, PML can put the drain plug on the other side. Contact us for more info.

PML also offers a low profile version of this pan for vehicles that need more ground clearance. The low profile pan, PML part number 9589 has the external bosses that may interfere with the drive shaft on some vehicles.

PML moved the drain plug and bosses for an optional temperature sending unit in 2014. These were on the outside of pan and are now on the inside. They interfered with the drive shaft on some vehicles. The polish finish pan shown above still has the bosses on the outside of the pan.

Optionally, PML can drill and tap a boss to your specifications between 1/8 NPT and 1/2 NPT for a $45 machining charge.

The filter bolts on to the valve body so no filter supports or extensions are needed.
