This pan features a drain hole and magnetic drain plug for easier fluid changes, fins and aluminum construction to dissipate heat, and a boss that can be machined for a temperature sensor. If you would like PML to drill and tap the boss for an aftermarket gage or sensor, there is a $45 machining charge. We can drill and tap 1/8 NPT to 1/2 NPT.
We have two of these pans on SPECIAL: Special #191, Polish Finish and Special #233, Polish Finish
Filter Information
PML designed this pan to work with the 700R4, 4L60 and 4L60E filters that fit the stock GM shallow pan. Please see our Filter Guide for PML Part Number 9297.
Shift Cable Mounting Bracket
You may have to modify your shift cable mounting bracket to use this pan. If the trans pan mounting bolts hold the shift cable bracket on, please reference this article from Vette magazine for details.
Drain Hole

The drain hole is located on the driver/left side of the transmission pan. A magnetic drain plug is included.
PML located the drain on the side of the pan since a drain plug is more protected from bumps and scrapes on the side than on the bottom.
